Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced a new military aid program from Spain, which includes a battery of Aspide missile systems and its missiles, four Hawk air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, mortars and ammunition.
“We have worked for a long time with José Manuel and our colleagues from other departments to ensure that Ukraine receives a new package of military aid from Spain as soon as possible. I am very happy that the new package is already on the way to Ukraine, and our state will soon strengthen its defense capabilities, receiving a battery of Aspide missile systems and missiles for it, four Hawk air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, mortars and ammunition, as well as other military equipment,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said during a joint briefing with José Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of the Union European Union and Cooperation of Spain, in Kyiv, reports a correspondent of Ukrinform.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that Spain’s decision to hand over the Hawk systems to Ukraine was a signal for other countries and thanked Spain and Minister Albares for taking quick decisions and to have given the example.
As reported, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares arrived in Kyiv for a visit on November 2.
