Earlier Wednesday, on the second day of their visit, Letizia and her husband attended an official welcoming ceremony for their state visit to the Royal Palace in Stockholm, alongside the Swedish royal family. Once again, Letizia went all out in an eye-catching red dress with matching headpiece. To warm up, she wore a fur-trimmed cape, both designed by Carolina Herrera. In addition to a procession, Queen Letizia was shown the royal stables and their first-rate horses, accompanied by Queen Silvia in a fuchsia coat dress and matching hat.
Upon arrival in Sweden, Letizia and Felipe went directly to their residence at the Spanish Embassy to speak to Spanish residents living in the country. The Spanish community in Sweden has grown at a steady pace over the past decade, and up to 37.12% in five years, as Spaniards migrate to take advantage of employment opportunities. Queen Letizia and King Felipe have witnessed a series of engagements to strengthen Spain’s ties with Sweden over the past two days.
The couple were seen traveling from Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport on Tuesday. The Spanish royal family was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Science and Innovation, as well as the Secretary of State for Trade.
