The Spanish National Police and the Guardia Civil take delivery of the first two Airbus H135s

The Spanish Guardia Civil and the Spanish National Police have taken delivery of the first two H135s, under a contract for 36 units signed with the General Directorate of Armaments and Material (DGAM) at the end of 2021 to supply the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior.

The award ceremony took place at the Airbus plant in Albacete.

The new helicopters will allow the National Police and the Guardia Civil to replace BO105 helicopters in a wide range of missions, including policing, surveillance and rescue activities.

In total, the Ministry of the Interior will receive 18 helicopters.

More than 1,350 H135 light twin-engine helicopters are operated by 300 operators in 64 countries. The fleet has accumulated over 6 million flight hours with over 200 helicopters used for law enforcement missions.
